What are your boarding check-in and check-out times?
Your boarding stay starts whenever you arrive, and you can pick up at any time, 24 hours a day. Your personal 24-hour day starts when you check in – we have no set check-in or check-out times.

Do you charge extra to give medications?
Please bring all medications and supplements in their original, labeled containers. If boarding at our San Diego location, we do not charge extra to administer medications - it is all included in our boarding price. If boarding at Irvine, we charge 5$ for 1-5 meds, 7.50$ for 6-10 meds, 10$ for 10 or more meds per day.

Why weren't you able to get a fecal while my dog was boarding?
We must be 100% certain that a sample is from your dog in order to submit it for testing. Our staff are constantly cleaning, and if we do not observe the exact moment when guests relieve themselves, we cannot submit the samples.

Does boarding include daycare, or do I pay separately for playtime?
Yes! Daycare playtime is included with boarding at no additional cost.

Why do you require the Bordetella vaccine and a fecal test for my dog every 6 months? My vet says my dog only needs it once a year.
We adhere to the highest standards to keep our facilities disease-free while accommodating a large number of dogs. Our vaccination and fecal testing policies are necessary to prevent the spread of highly contagious diseases.

Is my dog guaranteed yard time when we board?
All of our canine guests enjoy the play yards unless a medical condition or temperament limits their activities.

In the Playtime cycle program, does my dog stay in his room all day?
All Playtime Cycle dogs enjoy personal attention and activity throughout the day as part of a unique experience that we design specifically for you.

How often are they taken out to walk?
Most of our canine guests spend up to 12 hours daily in the play yards. Our Playtime Cycle guests will go for walks or enjoy individual playtime every 2-3 hours.

What does dog boarding cost?
For the most up-to-date pricing, please check the Dog Boarding page at the location nearest you!

Can I request my dog to stay in a certain area/bedroom?
We will accommodate special requests whenever possible. Please call us to discuss your dog or cat’s needs.

If I have multiple dogs, do they get the same room?
At your request, your dogs can share a room. We will feed them separately in order to monitor each dog’s consumption, and they can be together at all other times. If boarding at our Irvine location, dogs will not share rooms during the day - they will only share a room at night.

Are those dogs in the rooms right now bad dogs?
There are no bad dogs! Dogs rest in their rooms throughout the day for many reasons. Most are taking a rest break between Playtime Cycle or training sessions. Some dogs may also be seen in their bedrooms while awaiting social evaluation or a doctor’s appointment.

What if my dog doesn't eat while here?
We monitor all of the guest’s food consumption and weight. Some dogs eat less while they are away from home, even when they are active in the play yards. We will contact you if we have concerns about your dog’s appetite.

Why do I have to pay an additional safe care fee if my dog is not even going to be around other dogs?
Safe care guests are under the direct care and supervision of the medical staff for their entire stay with us, and they occupy the limited space which is available to separate them from our other guests.

My dog drank so much water when he came home, did you offer him water?
Dogs have access to water at all times. For some dogs, drinking water upon arriving at home is a normal behavioral pattern. Also, some dogs drink normally in their bedrooms but can be shy about drinking in the play yards.

My dog looks thinner. Did he not eat all his food?
We monitor our guests’ food consumption and weight during their stays. Some dogs do not finish their meals when away from home, even when they are active in the play yards. Some dogs eat 100% of their meals but still lose weight due to the amount of exercise.
