At your pet’s semi-annual or annual exam, our doctors will examine your pet’s teeth, eyes, ears, coat, weight, and other parameters. At this time, we can also discuss any health concerns or subtle changes that you have noted in your pet. This allows us to have a flowing dialogue about your pet’s health and any recommended diagnostics or therapy. Please be advised for the safety of your pet, all pets are required to have a current exam for the year in order to prescribe or administer any medications.
Dogs and cats are recommended to have a comprehensive exam a minimum of once a year. For our older pets, we recommend exams every 6 months. These will allow our doctors to potentially find any signs of health conditions early, which is vital to helping your pet live a healthy and comfortable life. Also, for our geriatric dogs, we recommend blood panels and blood pressure measurement every 6 months. This allows us a glimpse into your pet’s internal function, which combined with our physical exam findings, helps us to provide gold standard care for you and your pet.
